Prevent Dandelions

To control dandelions they must be treated when they are actively growing with a post emergent herbicide. Over time with regular control treatments and maintaining a thicker, healthier lawn mowed at the proper height (Not too short), these weeds can be kept to a minimum.

The problem with dandelions is there is no material that will “prevent” them and other broadleaf weed seeds from germinating in a lawn if they are present. Understanding this and treating them with the right timing will help your lawn grow thicker and naturally prevent these weeds in the future.
